Role Overview
This opportunity is for an analytical and detail-driven Projects Performance & Reporting Analyst based in Doha, Qatar, within the Oil & Gas sector. The role focuses on building and managing integrated performance reporting across project portfolios so leadership can make informed, data-backed decisions. The position supports Project Services and the broader Directorate through accurate, timely reporting, advanced analytics, enterprise systems, and digital platforms.
Performance Reporting & Analytics
- Create, refine, and continuously improve performance reports and dashboards for projects, programmes, and portfolios in line with corporate reporting standards.
- Prepare clear analytics on cost, schedule, progress, risk, and overall project performance.
- Bring together information from multiple cross-functional teams and turn it into concise reports and presentations for executive review.
Systems & Data Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for project performance reporting systems.
- Make sure reporting tools align and connect properly with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA (PS/EPPM) and other related systems.
- Convert business needs into functional specifications while working closely with ICT and system owners.
Business Intelligence & Insights
- Build and maintain dashboards that improve visibility across the portfolio and help track performance.
- Spot patterns, gaps, and risks across projects and share practical recommendations with stakeholders.
- Support cross-project analysis to strengthen strategic oversight and decision-making.
Process Improvement & Digitalisation
- Find ways to automate and digitise reporting workflows to improve speed and data quality.
- Assist in preparing business cases and functional requirements for system upgrades and enhancements.
- Review reporting processes and system behaviour to promote standardisation and ongoing improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Project teams, Planning, Cost & Budget teams, and ICT stakeholders.
- Protect data accuracy, governance, and consistency across systems and reporting outputs.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver accurate, high-quality, and timely project performance reports.
- Preserve consistency and integrity of reporting data across all platforms.
- Provide leadership with useful insights for both strategic and operational decisions.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in performance reporting, business intelligence, or business analysis in large project or portfolio settings; Oil & Gas exposure is preferred.
- Solid understanding of project and portfolio management concepts.
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms, ideally SAP S/4HANA (PS/EPPM).
