Role Overview
The Senior Global Operations Controller will play a key role in strengthening financial control, improving cost efficiency, and delivering actionable analysis across supply chain operations. This position works closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and other teams to maintain financial discipline and support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee controlling activities for supply chain operations, covering budgeting, forecasting, and variance review.
- Serve as a finance partner to the COO and operations leadership by improving financial clarity and supporting decisions.
- Examine supply chain expenses and performance indicators to uncover savings opportunities and process enhancements.
- Work with Procurement and Logistics to track supplier agreements and logistics-related spending.
- Create and update financial models and dashboards that support insight generation and business decisions.
- Handle month-end close tasks connected to supply chain costing and inventory valuation.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, controls, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Prepare management reports and presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at strengthening financial performance in the supply chain.
- Coach and support junior controllers and other finance team members when needed.
Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a closely related subject.
- At least 10 years of experience in controlling, business partnering, or comparable roles in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing settings.
- Strong analytical capability, along with hands-on use of financial systems, ERP platforms such as SAP or IFS, and advanced Excel.
- Solid background in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management within complex supply chain environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
- A self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and balance several priorities at once.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Additional Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a similar discipline.
- Five or more years of relevant controlling experience in supply chain or logistics environments.
- Strong command of ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time with a proactive mindset.
- Fluency in English.
