Description de l'emploi
About the brand
Arc'teryx is known for highly considered design and meticulous product creation, shaped by its roots in the Canadian Coast Mountain wilderness. With its own design and manufacturing capabilities, the brand focuses on making durable, intuitive products that perform when conditions are at their toughest.
This opportunity is for the launch of the first Arc'teryx outlet pop-up in Sydney, where you’ll help set the tone for a new chapter by leading from the shop floor and building strong community connections from the beginning.
What this role involves
- Keep a close eye on the sales floor throughout your shift and step in to support the store experience as needed.
- Lead from the floor and help create an exceptional guest journey through visible, hands-on leadership.
- Share product knowledge and event details with both the team and guests so they feel welcomed and included.
- Coach Product Guides, support their development, and help them grow toward stronger performance and targets.
- Assist with inventory flow, including receiving, processing, replenishing, removing stock, and presenting merchandise effectively.
- Use available tools to help manage store operations, including sales targets, staffing levels, and budget control.
- Build relationships with local partners to support events and strengthen brand engagement in the community.
- Handle opening and closing procedures for the store.
- Answer calls, respond to voicemail messages, and manage store email communication.
- Operate the POS system to complete transactions such as warranties, Used Gear trade-ins, sales, and returns.
What we are looking for
- At least one year of leadership experience, along with 1 to 2 years of retail experience.
- Confidence in leading others and a genuine interest in helping people reach their potential.
- A strong customer-first mindset and a commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences.
- The ability to give and receive timely feedback, coaching, and development support.
- Comfort in following and enforcing health and safety standards at all times.
- A track record of setting direction, aligning a team around shared goals, and building commitment to them.
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritize and adjust quickly as business needs change.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort working through uncertainty.
- A principled approach that focuses on the right solution, even when it is not the simplest one.
- A genuine love for the outdoors and an enthusiasm for an active lifestyle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working expectations
- Availability is required during the Black Friday period, the day after US Thanksgiving, and from the second week of December through the end of the holiday season.
- You may be asked to take on additional projects, duties, or assignments as needed under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
- You must be available for at least one opening shift, one closing shift, and one weekend shift each week.
- Your schedule needs to match business requirements, which may change at the Store Manager’s discretion.
Benefits
- Arc'teryx uniform provided at the start.
- Team discount available, including discounts with Arc'teryx and other Amer Sports affiliated brands.
- Competitive pay with a strong bonus plan.
- Parental Leave Top Up Program to support future parents.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support.
- Ongoing training and development to support career growth.
- Opportunity to build a career within a global business with pathways across multiple brands.
