Role Summary
This full-time position is based on-site in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The Storekeeper will manage the flow of goods into and out of the storage area, check deliveries against purchase orders and supporting documents, and keep stock arranged in the correct locations. The role also involves maintaining reliable inventory records, carrying out periodic stock counts, and helping prevent both shortages and excess inventory. In addition, the position includes preparing goods for outgoing shipment through packing and labeling, working according to safety and quality standards, using material-handling equipment when needed, and coordinating with procurement, sales, and operations teams. The storage space must be kept tidy, secure, and properly organized at all times.
Key Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, unload materials, and confirm that items match the relevant purchase and delivery paperwork.
- Place goods into designated storage areas and maintain proper organization within the store or warehouse.
- Update inventory records accurately and carry out routine stock verification to support correct stock levels.
- Identify and help avoid stock shortages, overstocks, and other inventory discrepancies.
- Pack, label, and prepare items for dispatch in line with operational requirements.
- Follow health, safety, and quality procedures while handling and storing goods.
- Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, when required and permitted.
- Work closely with procurement, sales, and operations teams to support daily workflow.
- Keep the storage area clean, orderly, and safe for staff and goods.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have solid experience handling inventory, warehouse stock, and store records. Familiarity with unloading, packing, and general back-of-house operations is important, along with the ability to use a forklift safely and in compliance with company and safety rules. Basic computer knowledge is needed for inventory systems and MS Office or similar tools used for data entry and reporting. Strong organization, accuracy, and time-management skills are essential, especially in a busy environment. Good communication and teamwork abilities are also required, as the role involves regular coordination with multiple departments. The job may require standing for long periods and lifting or moving goods. Prior experience in a warehouse, storekeeping, or retail stockroom setting is preferred, and any relevant warehousing or safety certification will be considered an advantage.
