Role Overview
This position sits within the Product Security Professional Services team and combines application security expertise with technical project management. The Technical Project Manager will help shape and deliver security engagements that meet CENSUS quality standards, working closely with clients, development teams, security teams, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to understand their needs and translate them into a clear scope, plan, and set of technical activities such as consulting, assessments, audits, evaluations, and security architecture work.
- Break down high-level product or task descriptions into smaller, well-defined technical work items and assign them to the appropriate security engineering and consulting resources.
- Lead the technical team throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Prepare and communicate product security risks in both technical terms and business-friendly language.
- Perform technical quality reviews and present deliverables such as findings, reports, observations, recommendations, and operational methods to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build strong working relationships with client-side teams and partners.
- Continuously improve the quality of the team’s technical deliverables.
- Share lessons learned and key success factors with the business development team to support client satisfaction and business growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related practical background.
- At least 4 years of application security experience, which may come from engineering, development, assessment, consultancy, or a comparable technical role.
- At least 2 years of experience leading technical projects in product security or information security.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Solid understanding of security principles, cryptography, and protocols across application types such as cloud, web, mobile, and IoT or embedded systems.
- Experience reviewing application security architectures and related technologies.
- Hands-on exposure to mobile, cloud, or web platforms including iOS, Android, GCP, AWS, Azure, frontend, or backend environments.
- Ability to read source code, identify business logic weaknesses, and spot security issues in relevant languages for mobile and web/cloud development.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, identity, and access management approaches such as OAuth, SSO, JWT, PKI/certificates, cloud IAM, and passwordless authentication.
- Familiarity with secure hardware-backed application security mechanisms, including biometrics, Keystore/Keychain, TPM/vTPM, HSM, and secure elements.
- Exposure to product security assessments and secure software development lifecycle processes.
- Experience managing technical teams and guiding delivery.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to engineering teams and management stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating with stakeholders on security engineering deliverables.
- Comfort working with distributed international teams across regions and time zones.
- Strong leadership, ownership, problem-solving, and learning mindset.
- Excellent English communication skills.
