Role overview
The Training Coordinator sits within Tesla's broader training function at the Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada. This role supports the company culture by delivering approachable, engaging, and adaptable training across a diverse production workforce. Work schedule
This position is available on either of the following fixed weekday shifts:
- Day shift: 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Evening shift: 04:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday
Key duties
- Deliver training that supports safe, high-quality, and productive manufacturing operations, including training coordination, Train-the-Trainer development, and role-specific skill training.
- Support lineside training activities and coordinate learning programs tied to the production area.
- Communicate updated processes and documentation clearly to multiple cross-functional teams.
- Apply working knowledge of FX (Factory Execution System) transactions in line with operating policies to help ensure accurate production tracking.
- Identify and train out quality or safety concerns, open items, QANs, and visual aids while recommending better practices that reduce repeat issues.
- Track certification progress through the Versatility Chart and help maintain certification inputs for the production team so KPI targets are met.
- Use the Learning Management System (LMS) to assign, monitor, schedule, coordinate, and report on training activities.
Candidate profile
- At least 1 year of production experience, with 1 to 2 years in a training-related role preferred.
- Solid understanding of production workflows and manufacturing methods.
- Strong spoken and written communication abilities, along with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to continuous improvement practices.
- Shows initiative, accountability, and personal leadership.
- Familiarity with adult learning concepts, instructional design, or education is helpful.
