Role Overview
Bertu Tesfa Charitable Organization is hiring a full-time Volunteer Coordinator for its Addis Ababa, Ethiopia office. This role sits within the Operations department and offers an annual salary of $25,000 to $35,000. The position was posted on April 1, 2023.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, review, and shortlist people interested in volunteering.
- Create and run training sessions that prepare volunteers for their assignments.
- Assign volunteers to suitable tasks by aligning their abilities and interests with organizational needs.
- Organize volunteer timetables and oversee day-to-day participation in activities.
- Offer continuous guidance, encouragement, and supervision to volunteers.
- Acknowledge volunteer efforts and ensure their contributions are valued.
- Keep accurate volunteer documentation and compile reports when needed.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Work, or a similar discipline is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination or volunteer management is expected.
