As a Warehouse Officer at the Cannington operation, you will help keep warehouse and inventory activities running smoothly so goods are received, stored, and dispatched safely and in line with site procedures and service expectations.

About Cannington

Cannington is one of the world’s major silver and lead producers. The site is located in northwest Queensland and includes an underground mine, a processing facility about 800 kilometres west of Townsville, and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Access includes direct flights to the onsite airport. The mine is around 3.5 km from camp, which also offers meal service, sports and gym facilities, a swimming pool, a music room, and a social area.

Employment details

This is a permanent, full-time role working a 7 days on / 7 days off roster from Thursday to Thursday, with occasional night shift work. The role can be accessed FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry, and the McKinlay shires.

What you will do

You will carry out day-to-day warehouse tasks that support supply outcomes and site operations. This includes maintaining accurate stock records, completing SAP transactions, handling goods and manual tasks, counting stock on a cycle basis, reconciling discrepancies, and assisting with checks of goods and storage areas to ensure quality standards are met.

What we’re looking for

You should bring previous experience in a comparable warehouse role within mining or heavy industry, along with the ability to communicate effectively with teammates and stakeholders. A solid understanding of warehouse or inventory processes is important, as is practical experience with SAP and Microsoft Office. You will also need to manage competing demands calmly and effectively when under pressure.

Qualifications and licences

To be considered, you must hold a high-risk forklift licence (LF) and a current driver’s licence. An MR or truck licence is preferred.
