Team Overview
The Global Service Delivery team supports office infrastructure and employee connectivity. It provides the hardware, software, and access people need to do their work, and offers round-the-clock support across multiple countries. The team combines cloud-based management tools with on-site support to maintain modern devices across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Role Summary
This position is centered on Workday Time Tracking, with responsibility for keeping the module reliable, scalable, and compliant so payroll and regulatory needs are met accurately. Alongside Time Tracking, the role also contributes to other HR systems and People Technology tools to strengthen the wider HR technology landscape.
The role is collaborative in nature and involves working with People and IT partners to simplify processes, design scalable solutions, and identify ways Workday and related platforms can create more value for the organization. It suits someone who enjoys solving complex issues and is open to broadening their skills beyond a single system.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain Workday Time Tracking, including time entry rules, validation logic, schedules, calculations, and compliance-related settings.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to convert business needs into scalable system solutions that improve the employee experience.
- Manage reporting, calculated fields, and security settings that support analysis of time entries, exceptions, overtime, and payroll-impacting information.
- Create and maintain documentation such as SOPs, configuration references, and process flows to improve knowledge transfer and team continuity.
- Contribute to other Workday areas and internal systems based on project priorities and personal development opportunities.
- Track Workday product updates and people technology trends to find opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Support other internal tools and technologies beyond Workday to broaden the team’s technology capabilities.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of practical Workday experience, including 2 to 3 years focused on Time Tracking configuration, rules, and reporting.
- Strong command of Time Tracking design, such as time entry codes, calendars, work schedules, validation rules, overtime, shift premium handling, holiday rules, and compliance controls.
- Advanced reporting and calculated field expertise, including the ability to build complex cross-domain reports and time-based analytics.
- Solid grounding in Workday HCM fundamentals, including hire, change job, and termination processes, along with configuration concepts like condition rules, organizations, hierarchies, and custom objects.
- Working knowledge of Workday security, including constrained and unconstrained roles plus segmented security.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability with attention to efficiency and data accuracy.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate business requirements into system design.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Helpful but not mandatory: experience with Workday Time Tracking, Absence, or Payroll integrations such as EIBs, PECI, or custom interfaces.
- Helpful but not mandatory: exposure to overtime, shift differential, or country-specific labor rule setup in Workday.
- Helpful but not mandatory: familiarity with testing approaches, release management, or regression testing for time-related logic.
- Helpful but not mandatory: experience in fast-moving international environments.
- Helpful but not mandatory: Workday certifications in Time Tracking, Payroll, or HCM.
- Helpful but not mandatory: interest in learning additional people technology platforms and tools.
