About the internship

This internship focuses on improving the quality and reliability of a Voice AI product through prompt design, conversation quality checks, and operational support. The work sits at the intersection of prompt engineering, QA, and day-to-day operations. You will craft and refine the prompts that guide voice agents, study real conversations to spot improvement opportunities, and help keep performance steady as the system scales. Strong language ability, analytical thinking, and attention to detail are especially important. Coding knowledge is useful, but not compulsory.

What you will do

Create, edit, test, and improve prompts for voice agents, including system instructions and dialogue logic.
Develop smoother conversation journeys, with fallbacks, recovery paths, and handling for misunderstandings or errors.
Check voice interactions for correctness, natural flow, response speed, interruptions, and unusual scenarios.
Examine call transcripts and interaction logs to find recurring issues and refine prompt behavior.
Run structured A/B tests on prompts and record observations to improve conversation quality.
Prepare and label datasets, and contribute to evaluation sets used for objective performance measurement.
Track live agent performance, flag issues, and help resolve production problems quickly.
Keep prompt libraries, operational playbooks, and SOPs organized so the team can reuse and share knowledge effectively.
Handle routine operations such as issue triage, escalation support, and feeding customer insights back into product improvements.

Who can apply

This role is open to candidates who are available for a full-time, in-office internship, can begin between 23 June 2026 and 28 July 2026, can commit for 6 months, and bring relevant skills and interest in the domain. Applicants should be pursuing or have recently completed a relevant degree, be able to join immediately or within a short notice period, and be comfortable taking ownership of work in a fast-paced AI environment.

Required skills and knowledge

Strong written and spoken English
Clear communication and report drafting
Prompt engineering and LLM understanding
Conversational AI or voice assistant familiarity
Analytical thinking and problem solving
Attention to detail
Spreadsheet and basic data analysis skills
Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies
Python or SQL knowledge is a plus
Experience with LLM APIs or Voice AI tools is preferred
Awareness of speech-to-text and text-to-speech concepts
Knowledge of Indian languages is an advantage

Compensation

The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 13,000 to 17,000. The pay structure includes a fixed component of INR 10,000 to 12,000 per month and an incentive component of INR 3,000 to 5,000 per month.
