The East Coast Labels A&R Administration team is hiring an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to help support the department across a range of day-to-day duties and special assignments. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to learn the music business and the recording process from behind the scenes while working closely with internal and external partners.
What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative and operational assistance to two Senior Vice Presidents.
- Deliver strong customer service to both internal teams and outside stakeholders by being accurate, helpful, and responsive.
- Support the A&R Administration team with routine work and special projects such as research, organization, and meeting preparation.
- Handle incoming meeting requests and help sort them by priority.
- Track project timelines and maintain clear, organized status reports.
- Oversee vendor maintenance activities, including helping vendors complete registration, updating address and profile information, and coordinating with outside parties so they understand and follow the required process.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or similar support role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Business, Communications, or a related area.
- Strong sense of urgency, solid time management, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
- Ability to shift quickly between tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfort explaining complicated processes in a clear and simple way and helping others work through obstacles.
- Previous experience with a music label or public relations firm is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to anticipate needs.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, and Canva.

Additional Information
This role is based in New York, NY and is onsite. It is a full-time position in the Administrative job family. The posted salary range is $40,350 to $45,368 per year. Final compensation may vary based on qualifications, relevant experience, specialized skills, education, certifications or licenses, and work location.
