Role overview
We are looking for a motivated Barista to join the Defence team in Exeter on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. In this role, you will prepare expertly made drinks and provide a consistently high level of service to customers. Work schedule
The expected shift pattern is Monday to Friday on day shifts, with no shifts listed for Saturday or Sunday.
Key responsibilities
- Create well-prepared beverages and serve food that meets quality expectations and satisfies customers.
- Keep the bar area tidy and clean at all times.
- Handle customer payments, including cash and card transactions.
- Work positively as part of a team and communicate clearly with others.
- Maintain an adequate supply of clean cups, mugs, and plates.
- Build knowledge of brewing techniques, drink blends, food presentation, and preparation methods.
- Ensure brewing machines are working correctly and report any faults or maintenance needs.
- Act as a representative of Defence and help maintain a strong, professional brand image.
- Follow food hygiene and handling requirements.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety rules.
