Role overview
Diocesan School for Girls is seeking a part-time Careers Administrator to support its Career Development Services team. The role is focused on helping students from Years 7 through 13 navigate study and career pathways, while contributing to the delivery of a busy and engaging careers programme.
This is a permanent position based in Auckland, and it suits someone who wants a role aligned with the school term calendar. The position is for 20 hours per week during school terms only.
Key duties
- Offer friendly, professional first-point support to students, parents, employers, and tertiary education providers.
- Coordinate and organise career-related events.
- Keep databases current and manage web, intranet, and careers social media content.
- Assist the wider team with applications, scholarship support, reference preparation, and event arrangements.
What we are looking for
- A degree-level qualification; a careers-related qualification, either completed or underway, would be an advantage.
- Strong planning skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Well-developed written and spoken communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus comfort with digital platforms and social media.
- A kind, approachable, and empathetic style, with a genuine interest in supporting young women.
