Role Overview
As a Contract Management Coordinator within the Supply Chain Services team, you will support the systems and processes that underpin contract management and supplier pre-qualification. The role is centred on keeping contract information accurate, supporting governance and compliance, strengthening contractor performance, and helping internal stakeholders use systems and processes effectively. It is well suited to someone who enjoys process improvement, collaboration, and contributing to better contract outcomes across the business.
Key Duties
- Keep TasWater's contract management systems current by ensuring contract records are correct, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.
- Use your supply chain support knowledge to identify and implement improvements to contract management practices and workflows.
- Oversee the supplier pre-qualification process, assisting contractors and internal teams while meeting safety, risk, and governance obligations.
- Work closely with people across the organisation by offering guidance, training, and practical support on contract systems and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing contract performance data, refining processes, and supporting projects that enhance contractor and contract management.
What You Will Bring
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and highly detail-focused, with experience in contract administration or a broader business administration setting. You should communicate confidently, work well with a wide range of stakeholders, and be comfortable balancing service, compliance, and governance requirements. Strong systems thinking, analytical ability, and a genuine interest in improving how things work are important in this position.
Additional Requirements
- A diploma or an equivalent level of relevant experience in areas such as business administration, contract administration, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated background in business administration or a comparable role, preferably in a medium to large matrix-style environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to provide advice, training, and support to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Well-developed analytical skills and strong attention to detail, especially in relation to data accuracy, compliance, and governance.
- Effective planning, prioritisation, and time management capabilities.
