About the Studio
Danspirations Dance Studio is looking to add new teachers to its team in Singapore. The studio operates from Telok Blangah and River Valley, and offers both part-time and full-time opportunities. Its teaching approach is centered on helping children build confidence, creativity, and connection through dance in a caring and encouraging setting.
Open Teaching Roles
- Ballet teacher
- Jazz teacher
- Instructor for other styles such as contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, tap, or musical theatre
- Teaching assistant role for candidates with less formal qualifications but strong promise
What You Will Do
- Teach dance classes with a focus on children and young people.
- Create a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Help students develop both technical ability and confidence.
- Manage the class smoothly and communicate clearly with students.
- Work collaboratively with the studio’s teaching, admin, and management teams.
- Take part in annual recital and performance events.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is expected, ideally involving children or youth.
- Applicants should bring strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A warm, positive personality and genuine enthusiasm for teaching are important.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a team-oriented attitude are required.
- Formal teaching certification such as RAD, CSTD, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Those without certification, but with a strong dance background, may still be considered for a teaching assistant position.
