Role overview
Cats Protection is seeking a Designer to produce high-quality creative work that helps build the charity’s brand and supports its mission to improve cat welfare. In this position, you will create engaging design solutions for a range of digital and print communications, work closely with the wider creative team, and contribute to campaigns that encourage more people to care about and protect cats.
Working arrangement
This is a permanent full-time role based remotely in the UK only. The working pattern is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary
The role offers a salary of up to £36,327 per year.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong creative concepts from brief through to completion for tactical marketing needs.
- Produce polished visual assets for both online and offline channels.
- Use the Cats Protection brand consistently across all design work.
- Work with Lead and Senior Designers to deliver output that meets project needs and brand standards.
- Support the Brand and Marketing team in advancing organisational goals, including cat welfare, volunteering, audience engagement, income generation, and financial sustainability.
About the team
You will join the Creative team within the Brand & Marketing department. The department plays a key role in helping Cats Protection achieve its strategic objectives through income-generating activity, clear and consistent cat welfare messaging, and stronger brand awareness among supporters and other key audiences. The Creative team includes 10 designers and content writers who develop communications for the charity.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a designer in either an in-house team or an agency environment.
- Hands-on experience creating work for both print and digital media.
- Ability to manage the full design process, from early ideas to final artwork.
- Experience working on a Mac using leading creative software.
- Capacity to stay inventive while following brand guidelines and practical constraints.
- Understanding of current visual communication tools and methods for both digital and print production.
