About the Organization
Indiana Mentor, part of the Sevita network, offers residential support and treatment foster care for young people who may be dealing with out-of-home placement, returning to their family environment, moving toward independent living, or involved with the juvenile justice system. Role Overview
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a hands-on caregiving role that helps participants grow, learn, and live as independently as possible. The position centers on building trusted relationships, supporting daily living, and encouraging community involvement and healthy routines.
What You Will Do
- Provide day-to-day support that helps individuals live well and progress toward personal goals.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with the people you support.
- Use your judgment and take initiative while working within the trust given by leadership.
- Encourage participation in community activities and favorite interests.
- Help participants work on developmental goals such as managing money, exercising, and eating well.
- Assist with personal hygiene and provide support to individuals who may have behavioral or other complex needs.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- At least six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
- Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time management abilities.
- Personal traits such as patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility.
- A valid driver's license plus access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
