Engineer - Service

About the role

Hach, part of the Veralto company group, works to improve water testing by making it quicker, simpler, more environmentally responsible, and more useful. The organization serves water quality needs across the world, and this role contributes to that mission by supporting customers and helping generate repeat business in the assigned territory. The position is based in Kolkata as part of the India Commercial Organization and is offered as a remote role.

What you will do

• Handle service calls within the expected response and turnaround timelines.
• Carry out all preventive maintenance work according to the planned schedule.
• Plan and deliver installation & commissioning activities as well as demonstrations assigned to you.
• Build strong customer relationships to improve satisfaction levels.
• Identify sales leads through customer interactions and share them with the marketing team.
• Support achievement of service sales targets tied to monthly, quarterly, and annual operating revenue goals.
• Maintain discipline and accuracy while using CRM systems such as ServiceMax and SFDC.

What we are looking for

• Three to four years of experience, along with a diploma or an equivalent qualification, preferably with exposure to Hach or similar products.
• Willingness to relocate anywhere in India depending on business or company priorities.
• Readiness to travel as required.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures, locations, and business teams.
• Good command of MS Office; familiarity with Copilot AI tools will be an added advantage.
• Self-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented work style.
• Motivation to contribute to business growth in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a mindset for creating practical, innovative customer solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and sustain customer relationships.
