Functional Business Analyst

Role overview

This position is for a Business Functional Analyst based in Mumbai, with an experience requirement of 2 to 6 years. The role centers on working with ERP systems, translating business needs into workable functional solutions, and supporting issue resolution across internal teams.

Core responsibilities

• Use ERP knowledge gained over 2 to 6 years to support business analysis and functional delivery.
• Study the client’s business workflows and align them with the capabilities of the ERP platform.
• Capture client needs clearly and work with internal teams to drive closure and root-cause analysis.
• Review client queries, tickets, and change requests, assess the issue, and decide the right functional action or route it to the appropriate solution team.
• Gather requirements and assist with effort estimation.
• Partner with QA and stay proactive in identifying and resolving defects.
• Contribute in an Agile working environment.
• Manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting while communicating risks, delays, or blockers in advance.
• Take part in solution change-request testing, along with pre-go-live and post-go-live sanity checks.
• Provide functional knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams as needed.

Required profile

• Hands-on ERP experience for 2 to 6 years.
• Strong understanding of business process mapping and functional analysis.
• Experience in requirement gathering and estimation.
• Ability to handle tickets, defects, and change requests in a structured way.
• Comfortable working with QA teams and supporting test cycles.
• Exposure to Agile delivery methods.
• Good prioritization, time management, and communication skills.
