Role overview
An opportunity has opened for an HR Administrator / HR Coordinator to join a team in Cork Metropolitan Area. The position sits within a large, established international organisation and offers a strong learning environment for someone at an early stage of their HR career. The HR Manager in this role is a hands-on people leader who is committed to helping the successful candidate grow and develop.
The position is broad and process-led, covering day-to-day HR administration as well as more involved people operations work. You will contribute across onboarding, contracts, employee relations, HR systems, and learning and development. This is a role where accuracy, discretion, organisation, and enthusiasm for HR will be important.
Key duties
- Draft and send employment contracts along with onboarding paperwork.
- Handle updates to employee terms and conditions, including promotions, transfers, and contract changes.
- Keep employee information accurate and ensure HR systems remain current.
- Deal with employee requests such as employment letters, social welfare documentation, and reference requests.
- Support induction activities and the wider onboarding process.
- Assist with HR investigations, performance review cycles, and disciplinary procedures.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with strong organisational ability, a careful approach to work, and the confidence to manage confidential material appropriately. Good communication skills are important, as is the ability to work with people across different levels of the business. Additional details
This is a fully onsite position. Experience of around two years in an HR environment would be beneficial, but it is not a strict requirement. A qualification or degree in HR, Business, or a related subject is preferred but not mandatory; candidates who have developed their HR understanding through practical experience are also encouraged. Knowledge of Irish employment law would be an advantage.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is expected.
