About the role
This opportunity sits within Sainsbury’s Zest team, the company’s in-house creative agency. The position is part of a fast-moving retail marketing environment where creative work is produced across multiple well-known brands, including Sainsbury’s, Argos, Habitat, Tu, and Nectar. The team works at scale across brand planning, brand communications, creative, digital marketing, CRM and loyalty, Nectar 360, and insights, with a strong emphasis on data-led decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
The role is suited to someone who wants to build impactful creative work in a collaborative setting, contribute to a newly established team, and develop professionally while supporting a broad range of campaigns and channels.
Why this role could be a great fit
You will join a vibrant internal agency where curiosity, innovation, and ongoing learning are valued. The position offers the chance to shape integrated campaigns, particularly social-first ideas, and to work closely with internal stakeholders and external agency partners. It is an environment that encourages creativity, relationship-building, and flexibility, while supporting work-life balance.
What you will do
- Develop integrated creative campaigns for multiple brands and channels.
- Contribute ideas and concepts for social-first campaigns, with content tailored to perform well across platforms.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams and outside agency partners to progress creative work.
- Help deliver high-quality output that reflects channel best practice and brand identity.
- Support a positive creative culture by collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience creating and delivering integrated campaign work across several channels. You should be comfortable developing ideas from brief to execution, with a strong eye for design quality and a practical understanding of what makes social content effective.
You will need to be adaptable, open to feedback, and confident working in a busy retail setting. A polished portfolio demonstrating strong campaign or brand work is essential, along with the ability to work well with internal teams and external partners.
Essential criteria
- Proven background in building and delivering integrated creative campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong capability in developing social-first concepts and content that works across platforms.
- A portfolio that demonstrates high-quality creative output for brands or campaigns.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external agency partners.
- Ability to interpret briefs and turn them into compelling creative ideas.
