About the Role

The Building Asset Renewal team handles projects valued from $500k up to $10m. In this role, you will be a practical, hands-on leader supporting remedial construction work and helping restore and upgrade building structures. It is suited to someone with strong building construction experience and a sharp eye for quality and detail.

What You Will Do

• Support the Site Supervisor in managing building rectification and remedial projects from start to finish while keeping quality and compliance at the required standard.
• Carry out site inspections to understand the scope, spot possible issues, and help shape practical remedial solutions with the Site Supervisor and Project Manager.
• Organise tasks, allocate work to team members, and keep track of progress and performance.
• Work directly on the tools when needed, including carpentry, concreting, and other trade-related duties specific to the build.
• Provide technical direction and help ensure construction activities follow the correct procedures.
• Communicate with senior management, clients, and contractors regarding progress, concerns, and project updates.
• Help train and guide labourers and other team members when required.
• Maintain strong quality control practices so the finished work meets industry expectations and client standards.
• Record project progress, issues, and resolutions accurately, and keep project documentation updated through Procore.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous on-site experience in building construction, particularly in new builds and renewal work.
• Relevant qualifications for the position, with a strong preference for a carpentry trade background.
• Ability to understand and deliver both structural and finishing aspects of building work.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication and good interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, enthusiastic, self-driven, and quality-focused approach.
• Comfort working effectively within a team.
• Ability to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with high-quality expectations.
• Solid computer and mobile device skills for everyday use of work programs and apps such as Procore.
