About the Team

The Account Management Commercial Growth group owns the end-to-end deal cycle for current customers in the commercial segment, including renewals. This role leads a team of 8-10 Account Managers and supports them through coaching, mentorship, and alignment with executive stakeholders. The team works closely with Solutions Consultants and technical experts to help drive success, and the group emphasizes value-based selling built around measurable ROI. The manager also collaborates with leadership peers to improve and implement team processes.

About the Role

In this position, you will guide Commercial Account Managers to operate like owners of their territory, consistently pursue quota, and run a sales process centered on customer needs and business pain points. You will also coach the team to use Outreach’s AI capabilities in everyday selling. The role is remote, with preference for candidates on the East Coast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a high-performance team environment built on accountability, self-improvement, and a strong focus on hitting targets.
  • Coach Account Managers on territory planning so they can build a clear path to quota attainment.
  • Help reps create their own pipeline by prioritizing research, cold outreach, and email activity using tools such as 6sense, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn.
  • Train the team to run discovery conversations that uncover pain points and priorities from senior decision-makers such as CEOs, CROs, CFOs, CMOs, and VP-level sales operations leaders.
  • Support Account Managers in presenting product demos and value messages that clearly connect Outreach’s platform to customer challenges.
  • Guide the team in maintaining momentum through a standard 30-60 day sales cycle.
  • Spot risks in deals using MEDDPICC and work with internal partners and executives to reduce those risks.
  • Forecast deal progress and team performance using Outreach’s forecasting approach.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years of strong results leading sales teams and delivering growth in existing accounts while meeting or exceeding targets.
  • A coach-first leader who can mentor talent, improve individual performance, and lift team outcomes through collaboration.
  • Comfort with AI-enabled sales tools and a willingness to coach others on using them effectively.
  • Prior experience in a closing role before moving into leadership.
  • Background in managing renewals and existing-customer relationships.
  • Experience leading solution-based sales that require multiple stakeholder approvals.
  • Ability to help teams build business cases and ROI materials.
  • Hands-on exposure to tools such as Salesforce, Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and/or 6sense.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual on-target earnings for this position are between $200,000 and $250,000. Additional compensation may include incentives, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits. Final pay is determined by a candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
