Role Summary
This is a full-time hybrid Mechanical Engineer position based in Berlin, Germany, with the option to work remotely for part of the week. The role focuses on creating and improving mechanical parts and systems, using CAD tools to develop designs, contributing to research and development efforts, and coordinating projects so they are completed efficiently and on schedule. The position also requires working closely with teams across functions to ensure project needs and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems.
- Use computer-aided design software to prepare and refine technical designs.
- Support research and development activities to create improved or innovative solutions.
- Manage project timelines, tasks, and deliverables to keep work on track.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, with a solid grounding in machine design.
- Hands-on proficiency with CAD software and design tools.
- Experience handling projects and monitoring schedules and outputs.
- Exposure to research and development work aimed at innovation.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Background in manufacturing or automotive environments is a plus.
