Multi-Skilled Joiner

Role overview

This is a full-time Multi-Skilled Joiner position focused on reactive maintenance for occupied social housing homes. You will be based around Warrington, Northwich, Winsford, and other parts of Cheshire, covering mid and southern areas of the North West. The role requires someone who can complete joinery repairs quickly, safely, and to a high standard while working respectfully in residents' homes.

The package includes a salary of up to £36,228 per year, along with a company van and fuel card.

What you will be doing

• Handling reactive joinery repairs in homes that are already occupied
• Repairing and fitting doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, kitchens, and internal fittings
• Carrying out floor repairs and new floor installations when needed
• Removing and refitting glazing so maintenance work can be accessed safely
• Taking on small extra trade tasks such as basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and decorating as required
• Identifying faults and deciding on the most suitable repair method
• Working carefully and professionally in residents' properties
• Making sure all work complies with quality expectations and health and safety rules
• Keeping accurate job notes and completing the required paperwork

What you need

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Background in reactive maintenance or social housing repair work
• Practical experience with flooring repairs and installation
• Ability to remove and reinstall glazing to access repair areas
• Comfort working across more than one trade and completing minor related tasks
• Strong troubleshooting ability and the confidence to work on your own
• Clear communication and a strong customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence
