Role overview

Oradeo Recruitment is hiring an experienced Planner for a leading contractor delivering mission-critical projects in Dublin. This is a full-time, site-based position in Greater Dublin, offering the chance to work with an international construction business that values innovation and technology. The role also offers a pathway to grow into a Planning Manager position.

What you will do

• Build and maintain detailed project programmes so construction work stays on track and finishes on time.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to shape plans that meet client requirements and delivery dates.
• Track progress across projects, spot delays or constraints early, and put corrective actions in place.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to keep materials, equipment, and resources available when needed.
• Visit project sites to review progress and adjust schedules based on real-time conditions.
• Prepare regular status updates for stakeholders, covering milestones, risks, and opportunities.
• Assess drawings, specifications, and project plans to identify clashes, risks, and planning issues.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of P6, Asta, and Microsoft Project.
• Proven experience with Earned Value Methodology and planning for NEC contracts.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting ability, with the confidence to resolve issues before they escalate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams.
• A highly organised and detail-focused approach, with the ability to juggle several projects at once.
• Comfortable performing under pressure and meeting demanding deadlines.
