Role Overview

As Procurement Manager, you will lead the entire procurement function and own the full buying process end to end. Your focus will be to replace a slow, approval-heavy workflow with a faster, more controlled, and cost-efficient system that can support growth across Bangladesh, Malaysia, Dubai, Cyprus, and Sri Lanka.

The biggest share of spending is in IT procurement, especially SaaS, software licensing, and frequent hardware/device purchases. The role calls for a highly driven professional who can consistently secure strong commercial outcomes, remove delays, and bring discipline to the function.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage sourcing, negotiation, vendor selection, approvals, documentation, renewals, and reporting while maintaining audit-ready records and strong stakeholder alignment. You will also support broader procurement needs as business priorities change.

IT, SaaS and Hardware Procurement

  • Take charge of sourcing and negotiation for the largest spend area, including SaaS subscriptions, software licenses, and recurring renewals for workplace, productivity, and platform tools used by 700+ users.
  • Handle procurement of IT hardware and devices for all five offices, deciding the best sourcing route and shipping method to achieve the lowest landed cost, whether purchased locally or moved across borders.
  • Receive requirements from the IT team and own everything that follows: sourcing, pricing, vendor evaluation, and final commercial selection.
  • Stay ahead of upcoming renewals so pricing is secured before deadlines pass and offers expire.
  • Support procurement needs outside IT categories whenever the business requires it.

Negotiation and Vendor Management

  • Lead firm, commercially focused negotiations and continue pushing for better outcomes even when a proposal already beats market rates.
  • Run sourcing activity from start to finish, including intake of requirements, market research, vendor assessment, RFQ/RFP handling, and award recommendations.
  • Put supplier performance controls in place through SLAs, scorecards, and regular review meetings to maintain quality and value.
  • Develop durable supplier relationships that improve responsiveness, continuity, and resilience without weakening negotiation strength.

Process, Speed and Governance

  • Shorten the current approval cycle, which can take one to two months, while keeping the right controls in place to avoid expired offers and price increases.
  • Create and manage procurement policies, SOPs, approval structures, documentation rules, and RACI accountability, building on the existing SOP base and making it more mature and efficient.
  • Serve as a key advisor for high-value or high-risk purchases and prepare structured recommendations for the Procurement Committee.
  • Manage the full procurement flow from PR to PO to GRN/Delivery to Invoice to Payment, ensuring accuracy, speed, and audit readiness.

Multi-Market Coordination

  • Coordinate sourcing across five countries while factoring in different pricing patterns, vendor behavior, and negotiation styles in each market.
  • Work closely with regional admin and IT teams, especially in Bangladesh where device coordination is centered, to keep procurement execution smooth on the ground.
  • Proactively identify and manage supplier and supply risks related to continuity, delivery, commercial exposure, and reputation, using fallback options and tighter controls.

Spend Analytics and Reporting

  • Conduct spend analysis to cut maverick spending, reduce the vendor base, and uncover savings and value opportunities.
  • Track and report procurement KPIs such as savings achieved, cycle time, compliance rate, supplier performance, renewal risk, and category-wise spend.
  • Work with Finance to align purchases with budgets, improve forecasting, and keep supplier payments timely and accurate.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations covering PR to PO to GRN/Delivery to Invoice to Payment.
  • Practical experience purchasing SaaS, software licensing, and IT hardware/devices, ideally in a large and fast-growing business environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals below market rates and securing favorable pricing, SLAs, renewals, risk clauses, and payment terms.
  • Ability to take ownership of a requirement from start to finish without close supervision and make the final commercial call.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement governance, including policies, approvals, documentation, and audit requirements, with the ability to create and enforce SOPs.
  • Comfort working with Finance, Legal, Tech, and business stakeholders to reach alignment without slowing execution.
  • Strong analytical ability with hands-on Excel or Google Sheets skills for tracking spend, savings, compliance, and supplier performance.
  • Leadership capability to guide a small team, define KPIs, and build an effective operating rhythm.
  • Exposure to sourcing across multiple markets or countries is preferred, though strong candidates who can learn quickly are also welcome.
