About the Role

The Brisbane studio is seeking an ambitious Project Architect who is ready to take ownership of challenging and engaging projects across Education, Health + Science, and Commercial sectors. This position suits someone who brings both strong design capability and confident delivery experience, with the ability to lead a project from start to finish.

Success in this role depends on more than technical skill alone. The ideal candidate will be comfortable guiding teams, working closely with clients and consultants, and contributing positively to a collaborative studio environment. A strong interest in design excellence and a drive to achieve high-quality outcomes are essential.

A solid working knowledge of Revit is required, along with the ability to create and support detailed documentation packages that are thorough and thoughtful.

The Brisbane office is located in the creative centre of the city, just off James Street in Fortitude Valley. It is easily reached by trains and buses, and the studio also supports active commuting with an onsite shower. The Brisbane team is described as close-knit, welcoming, and energetic.

General Duties

• Contribute actively to project delivery and management across all stages, from concept design through to contract administration.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of projects and keep Partners informed when required.
• Prepare, review, and check drawings in Revit, including marking up documentation, assessing team output, and assisting with project documentation where needed.
• Work effectively within collaborative teams and help maintain strong team cohesion.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, and other external stakeholders as part of project delivery.
• Support the growth of colleagues by contributing to mentoring and ongoing staff development.

About You

The role is intended for an experienced architect who can turn strong design thinking, design development knowledge, and construction understanding into work that is both inspiring and practical.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Between 5 and 10 years of architectural experience.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver projects from briefing through to handover.
• Experience working alongside Project Managers and consultants within larger design teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Substantial experience in design development and construction detailing within healthcare, commercial, or education projects is an advantage.
• Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team while also working independently when needed.
• Rendering and visualisation abilities will be considered a plus.
