Project Manager

Role overview

The Project Manager will oversee assigned initiatives from kickoff through completion, working alongside the Chief Executive Officer and under their guidance. This role is responsible for keeping project tasks on track, ensuring work is delivered within the approved scope, budget, and schedule, and producing accurate progress updates for clients, stakeholders, and internal team members.

Purpose of the role

The position exists to support the design and delivery of new product objectives for the client by applying a structured innovation process and project management practices.

Key outputs and deliverables

• Delivery of the required Stage-Gate outputs.
• Maintaining project information in the central system (Accolade).
• Completion of assigned projects within the required timeframe.
• Submission of scheduled reports on time.

Core responsibilities

• Handle assigned projects in line with the applicable process framework.
• Build, maintain, and update detailed project plans.
• Identify milestones and monitor progress to support timely delivery.
• Execute all Stage-Gate requirements associated with each project.
• Track project finances, including spend, projected revenue, and margin outcomes against budget and forecast.
• Work with internal client stakeholders across Marketing, Innovation-Technical, Supply Chain, Global Sourcing, and Factories to gather required information.
• Coordinate with external service providers such as researchers, designers, R&D partners, and printers.
• Prepare and submit recurring project reports.
• Carry out market or supplier visits whenever needed.

• Complete assigned project activities effectively and to a high standard.

Minimum education and experience

• A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a closely related field is considered an advantage.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing or a technical discipline.
• Background in the Food and Beverage industry is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in Project Management, Procurement, or Marketing.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Project is an added advantage.
• Prior exposure to Project Management and/or the New Product Development process.

• Capability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively in team-based settings.
• Strong analytical thinking with a creative approach to identifying product opportunities.

Working conditions

Standard working conditions apply, with a moderate amount of travel for supplier visits, market visits, trade shows, and meetings at the client’s offices.

Location requirement

The candidate should be based in Jamaica.
