Role overview
The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking an active, community-focused Ranger to support compliance and regulatory services across the local area. This is a hands-on position with plenty of variety, covering patrols, investigations, animal-related work, public interaction, and other day-to-day enforcement tasks. The role suits someone who enjoys being outdoors, solving problems, and making a visible difference in the community.
Key duties
- Carry out parking enforcement and traffic-related patrol activities.
- Manage animal control and welfare matters for both companion animals and stock animals.
- Look into complaints and uphold local laws and regulations.
- Issue infringement notices and prepare cases for legal action when needed.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to members of the public.
What you will bring
This role needs strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to work in a fast-moving, people-facing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on their own as well as collaborating with others, and will bring a practical, proactive approach to community safety and environmental responsibility.

- Indicative total pay of approximately $93,000 to $100,000 per year, including allowances.
- 12% employer superannuation contribution.
