Role overview
Wright State University is seeking two Research Apprentices to support scientific work in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology within the Boonshoft School of Medicine. The role is centered on hands-on lab support, sample handling, and basic data review.
What you will do
The apprentice will assist with scientific experiments, organize and aliquot samples, and help analyze data. The position is primarily research-focused, with most of the time devoted to conducting experiments and the remainder spent on data analysis.
Minimum qualifications
Applicants should be high school graduates and on a pre-college track focused on health or medical sciences.
Preferred background
A strong interest in pre-medical studies, especially dermatology, is preferred.
Work environment and conditions
This position involves work with potentially hazardous biological samples. It is a 100% FTE role and is subject to special contract terms and conditions of employment.
