Role overview
Tuath Housing Association is seeking a full-time permanent RTB Officer based in Dundalk, County Louth. The position reports to the RTB Team Leader and supports tenancy and dispute registration activity across the organisation.

What the role involves
The RTB Officer will support all aspects of tenancy and dispute registrations, assist internal teams and local service areas, and help ensure that Tuath remains fully compliant with Residential Tenancies Board requirements. The role works closely with the RTB Team and the Specialist Housing Manager to maintain professional standards, improve operational processes, and support customer-focused service delivery.
The successful candidate will keep track of changes and updates from the Residential Tenancies Board, help apply policies and procedures in day-to-day operations, contribute to service improvement activity, and represent the organisation professionally with partners and stakeholders. The role also contributes to customer scrutiny reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Work within the RTB team to deliver a responsive and effective service for current registrations, annual renewals, and new property registrations within required timeframes.
- Help manage dispute applications related to rents and housing teams.
- Ensure all social leased properties have the correct SLA recorded on the register, including updates to the Assets and Liabilities Register.
- Track tenancy changes and make sure RTB records remain accurate and current.
- Carry out regular audits and checks in the housing management system to maintain accurate customer information.
- Work collaboratively to support joined-up services and improve resident satisfaction.
- Prepare clear and useful reports for key stakeholders on RTB team performance.
- Deliver a high standard of service to both internal teams and external customers.
- Keep the customer voice central to service delivery, using complaints and satisfaction feedback to support continuous improvement and ensure fair treatment for all customers.
- Identify opportunities to improve the service, including benchmarking, reviewing best practice, and building links with other organisations and partners.
- Contribute to operational plans and provide input as required.
- Share professional knowledge, advice, and support with colleagues in a collaborative manner.
- Provide statistics, information, and testimonials for the annual report.
- Promote strong communication, excellent customer service, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, agencies, and external organisations to support quality service delivery.
- Carry out all duties safely and in line with the Health and Safety Policy.
- Ensure appropriate health and safety risk assessments are in place and that colleagues follow required instructions and use protective equipment where needed.
- Make sure team members understand any risks linked to their work and comply with safety instructions and PPE requirements.
