MaxSolar provides operations and maintenance, asset management, and technical support services for commercial solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems. The company works across the full project lifecycle to help asset owners improve energy output, environmental performance, and financial returns.
Role Summary
The Scheduling Coordinator will support field operations across several regions by keeping technician schedules organized and aligned with business needs. This position partners with the Supply Chain Director, Operations team, technicians, and other internal stakeholders to make sure work is assigned efficiently and completed on time.
The role suits someone who performs well in a busy environment, can balance multiple priorities, communicates clearly, and is comfortable working with limited supervision. Over time, the person in this role is expected to build strong daily scheduling expertise, handle technician scheduling with increasing independence, improve coordination and scheduling efficiency, and eventually take full ownership of scheduling operations.
Scheduling & Dispatch Operations
- Assign and organize field technicians across multiple regions and time zones.
- Adjust daily schedules to respond to emergencies, technician availability, customer urgency, and operational requirements.
- Assess incoming work orders and match resources based on location, skill set, priority, and availability.
- Plan both preventive maintenance visits and corrective maintenance dispatches.
- Track schedule compliance and spot bottlenecks or inefficiencies before they create issues.
- Act as the main contact for all scheduling-related communication.
Work Order Management
- Monitor work order queues to ensure assignments are completed within expected timelines.
- Confirm that work orders include the details needed for smooth dispatch.
- Manage schedule updates and share changes with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Follow task completion through to the end and make sure records are properly documented.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate around material shortages, equipment availability, travel arrangements, and broader operational priorities.
- Raise scheduling conflicts and operational risks when escalation is needed.
- Contribute to building scheduling processes that can scale as the business grows.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in scheduling, dispatching, operations coordination, logistics, field service coordination, or a related role is required. Candidates should have strong organization skills, the ability to handle several priorities at once, excellent written and verbal communication, and the confidence to work in a fast-moving operational setting. Strong judgment, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail are also important.
Preferred Experience
Background in field service, construction, solar, utilities, HVAC, telecom, logistics, or a similar industry is preferred. Familiarity with scheduling tools, CRM systems, or work order software is an advantage. Experience coordinating distributed teams across multiple regions is also valued. Solar industry experience is helpful but not mandatory.
