Senior Supply Planner

Position overview

We are looking for a highly analytical Senior Supply Planner to own and improve supply planning and inventory optimization from end to end. In this role, you will connect demand planning, supply planning, and inventory control to keep product available, limit working capital, and reduce supply chain exposure. The position calls for strong planning depth, advanced analytical thinking, and the ability to guide and influence partners across functions in a dynamic environment.

Strategic planning and forecasting

• Develop supply scenarios that test demand swings, capacity limits, and supply-side risks.
• Coordinate closely with Commercial and other teams to align demand forecasts with procurement and supply plans.
• Review trends, market indicators, and performance drivers to protect forecast accuracy and turn insights into planning changes.
• Manage forecasting across baseline demand, promotional activity, and event-driven demand.
• Use advanced analysis to shape inventory and replenishment approaches that balance service, cost, and working capital.
• Build production and replenishment plans that fit within network and capacity constraints.

S&OP / IBP leadership

• Lead or contribute to monthly S&OP / IBP cycles, including supply reviews and executive summaries.
• Share risks, opportunities, and scenario-based recommendations with senior leaders.
• Keep financial goals, unconstrained demand, and practical supply plans aligned.
• Support collaboration between Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, and Operations teams.
• Help senior leaders make decisions through modeling, sensitivity analysis, and trade-off reviews.

Inventory and performance management

• Own core supply chain measures such as service level, fill rate, forecast accuracy/bias, and inventory turns.
• Spot performance shortfalls and drive corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee inventory health, including excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and aging stock.
• Make sure inventory actions are executed on time, including adjustments, disposition, returns, and rework coordination.

Risk management and supply continuity

• Identify supply risks early and lead mitigation and contingency planning.
• Address or escalate supply constraints that affect service levels and business continuity.
• Serve as a key input into decisions during disruption or constraint-heavy situations.

Systems, data, and continuous improvement

• Maintain planning system reliability, ERP data integrity, and accurate master data.
• Work with IT and data teams to resolve issues and improve planning tool performance.
• Support process and methodology improvements across planning.
• Contribute to digital transformation efforts such as automation, advanced analytics, and planning system upgrades.
• Promote standard practices and consistency across supply chain planning.

Leadership and stakeholder influence

• Align and influence cross-functional partners to meet supply, service, and financial targets.
• Act as a trusted senior planning advisor to business leaders.
• Encourage data-led decisions and end-to-end supply chain thinking across the organization.

Education and experience

A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, or a related discipline is required. The role calls for at least 6 years of experience in supply planning, inventory control, or supply chain analytics, along with a solid understanding of S&OP / IBP processes. Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with ERP/APO/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle is expected. Exposure to planning or analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

Technical capability

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Ability to analyze data and present it visually using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong grasp of supply planning topics including inventory optimization, safety stock, and capacity planning.
• Working knowledge of S&OP / IBP processes and related planning tools.
• Comfort working with large datasets and turning them into practical recommendations.
