Sr. Environmental Coordinator

Role Overview

This position is responsible for driving environmental compliance and sustainability efforts across gas operations. The role focuses on meeting regulatory obligations, aligning with internal environmental standards, and helping roll out environmental management systems and sustainability programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep gas operations aligned with environmental laws, company requirements, and EMS standards.
• Assist with day-to-day environmental work tied to gas operations.
• Create and put into action environmental strategy plans and sustainability roadmaps.
• Manage environmental monitoring, compliance tracking, and reporting activities.
• Plan and run environmental awareness sessions, campaigns, and sustainability events.
• Contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of ISO 14001 EMS processes.
• Prepare reports and presentations on environmental performance.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, and follow-up corrective actions.
• Organize and maintain environmental permits, records, and documentation.
• Use Microsoft Office, Power BI, and AI-based tools for analysis and reporting.

Mandatory Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or Engineering is required.

Mandatory Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Hands-on experience in gas operations.
• Background in environmental management and sustainability.
• Experience building environmental strategies, plans, and roadmaps.
• Prior involvement in environmental awareness sessions and events.

Mandatory Certifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
• Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
• NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management.
• Candidates must hold at least one of the above certifications.

Technical Skills

• Environmental management systems, especially ISO 14001.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• Microsoft Power BI.
• AI tools for reporting and data analysis.
