Test Manager (m/w/d)

About the role

NAXCON Group is hiring a Test Manager for its Bremen location in Germany, supporting projects in the defence sector. The company operates in the German IT and engineering space and works across software, hardware, electronics, AI, virtual reality, project delivery, and internal innovation and research initiatives.

What you will do

• Plan, carry out, and record system tests and acceptance tests for products.
• Help set up the systems under test and the associated test environments according to system requirements.
• Prepare test specifications from requirements and test scenarios.
• Work with system architects and developers to investigate defects and resolve issues.
• Design, implement, assess, and document automated test cases.
• Keep improving the test setup, test infrastructure, and testing approach.
• Support product quality and performance targets.
• Coordinate with internal and external development and testing teams across locations.
• Run field tests and trial activities in Germany and abroad.
• Provide technical guidance and coordination for system testers.
• Track test progress and take action to ensure quality and performance requirements are met.

What we are looking for

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, along with several years of hands-on experience in test development, execution, automation, and test documentation. You should also bring early practical exposure to integrating complex distributed systems, plus a basic understanding of requirements management, quality assurance, and system development. Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux is required, together with good technical German and English communication skills in both written and spoken form. Analytical thinking and a solid grasp of technical systems are important for success in this position.
