Overview
Lightship is developing the first all-electric recreational vehicle made in the United States, including an aerodynamic, battery-powered trailer designed for the electric era. As electrification transforms transportation, the company aims to bring greater convenience and performance to an activity enjoyed by more than 11 million American families.
Culture and Team Environment
Lightship values hiring and growing talent from a wide range of backgrounds. The organization believes that diverse perspectives strengthen its people, customers, shareholders, and mission. The workplace is collaborative, with a flat structure, and team members are expected to bring integrity, independence, and creativity to their work.
Role Summary
The company is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to support production by keeping material movement efficient, dependable, and well organized. This role is responsible for coordinating inventory flow across the facility, from the receiving area to the assembly line, so production teams have the correct parts at the right moment to stay on schedule.
This is a practical leadership position for someone who is focused on efficiency, process discipline, and inventive problem-solving. As a fast-growing startup, the company needs someone who can design processes that fit its current size and stage of growth, using available resources to solve logistics challenges without adding unnecessary complexity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and delivery of parts to the line.
- Keep the warehouse orderly, clean, and aligned with safety requirements.
- Set the tone for workplace safety by running safety huddles, enforcing forklift rules, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
- Protect inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts, issue investigation, and reconciliation of ERP records with physical stock.
- Review warehouse workflows regularly to spot inefficiencies and improve them.
- Apply Lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen in a practical way that suits the facility layout and production scale.
- Build processes that solve current operational needs while remaining simple enough to scale as the business grows.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated success improving processes, with examples such as implementing 5S, changing layouts, or reducing waste.
- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in manufacturing or automotive settings.
- Prior experience leading operational teams such as material handlers or shipping and receiving staff.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, including spreadsheets, document creation, and email communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
- NetSuite experience is considered a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Compensation and Equity
The compensation package includes annual salary along with equity, giving the employee an ownership stake in the company.
Employee Benefits
These benefits apply to full-time employees only.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Flexible paid time off, with encouragement to actually use it.
- 13 company holidays, including 8 standard holidays during the year and a scheduled company-wide shutdown at the end of the year.
- 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
- An annual LightTrip stipend for an RV trip and/or professional development.
Full-time employees and their dependents receive comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. The company emphasizes that team members should not have to worry about healthcare while helping build an all-electric experience for families.
