Role overview

The company is looking for an experienced Applied Scientist to create efficient deep learning and generative AI methods and to design new AI-driven models. This position provides the chance to work directly with product teams and apply new technologies across multiple application areas.

You will join a fast-moving, innovation-focused environment that is building a large AI services portfolio and aiming to become a leading AI Platform-as-a-Service for enterprises and developers. The organization supports national-scale AI research and development, works with Microsoft’s AI SaaS capabilities, and delivers domain-specific agentic AI orchestrator platforms using reasoning agents for accurate and cost-conscious services. Its work spans AI incubation, IP creation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products, with a focus on domain- and language-specific models for better accuracy and efficiency. Collaboration with universities and major industry partners helps advance AI in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and development efforts across computer vision, NLP, audio signal processing, and related AI areas.
• Design, evaluate, and improve advanced algorithms and deep learning models for semantic understanding, multimodal interpretation, and human-machine interaction.
• Explore emerging AI trends, work with complex datasets, and translate research ideas into practical models.
• Build solutions that combine text, audio, and visual inputs to improve the system’s understanding of human communication.
• Partner with researchers and engineers to refine AI algorithms for better efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Work with product teams to embed new models into larger offerings and develop proof-of-concepts based on client requirements.
• Identify ways AI can improve customer business outcomes.
• Support business development through technical input before and after sales engagements.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related AI field.
• Specialization in computer vision, natural language processing, speech, or audio is strongly preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience building AI algorithms across multiple modalities.
• Strong research background, ideally backed by peer-reviewed publications or product-oriented R&D work.
• Curious, analytical, and inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong awareness of current developments in machine learning and AI.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, collaborate with stakeholders, and work with a bias toward action.

Success metrics

Performance will be judged by cost savings delivered, number of use cases explored and datasets analyzed, number of innovations and proof-of-concepts deployed, number of processes improved, and customer NPS.
