Role Summary
This role sits within the housekeeping leadership team and supports the Head Housekeeper in delivering consistently high standards across guest rooms and public areas. You will help guide the team, monitor quality, manage stock and costs, and contribute to a warm, well-run operation that creates memorable guest experiences.

Key Duties
- Partner with the Head Housekeeper to ensure guest rooms are consistently clean, well presented, and ready to welcome returning guests.
- Support, motivate, and lead the housekeeping team by setting the standard through your own actions.
- Maintain strong standards in bedrooms and shared areas through SOPs, training, and routine inspections.
- Look for practical ways to improve housekeeping processes and working methods.
- Keep an eye on departmental spend and work within agreed budget limits.
- Oversee housekeeping inventory and monitor orders to ensure supplies are properly controlled.
- Contribute to the development of team members so they can reach their potential.
- Work collaboratively with front office, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to support a seamless guest experience.
- Assist in coordinating with external housekeeping providers.

The right person will bring a genuine love for hospitality, a positive attitude, and a collaborative mindset. You should be comfortable leading by example, attentive to detail, and ready to take ownership of your work while supporting those around you. The role suits someone who enjoys doing things differently, works well in a team, and takes pride in delivering high standards.
Skills and Experience
- Previous housekeeping experience at a comparable level, or readiness to move into a leadership position.
- Working knowledge of Opera, Knowcross, or similar property management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to notice quality gaps quickly.
- Confidence in supervising and developing others.
- Practical, hands-on approach to getting work completed.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
- Collaborative communication and teamwork across departments.
- Understanding of stock control and cost awareness.
