Job Overview
DP World is hiring a dependable and safety-conscious Delivery Driver to support the movement, collection, and distribution of goods for an FMCG operation in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role calls for strong driving ability, careful handling of cargo, and a professional approach when dealing with customers and colleagues.
What You Will Do
- Move goods between locations as needed, making sure deliveries and collections arrive on schedule.
- Check orders and paperwork to confirm that each delivery or pickup is accurate.
- Handle loading and offloading carefully and efficiently to protect product quality.
- Keep delivery records current and complete all related documentation properly.
- Interact politely with customers during drop-offs and pickups to support a positive service experience.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks such as fuel level, oil, and tyre pressure, and escalate any concerns to the Fleet Manager.
- Follow all road safety rules and operational safety procedures at all times.
- Flag any damage, missing items, or other discrepancies to the appropriate team without delay.
Qualifications and Experience
- KCSE level education or a certificate in a related area.
- A valid driver’s licence with a clean ABC driving record.
- At least 6 years of delivery driving experience, ideally in FMCG or logistics.
- Solid knowledge of traffic laws and road safety requirements.
- Prior work in an FMCG or similar environment will be an added advantage.
- Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload heavy goods.
- Good familiarity with local routes and surrounding areas.
