Role Overview

The Developer Community Specialist will be based in Limerick, Ireland and will report to the Director of Developer Relations. This position is an individual contributor role focused on building and scaling developer community programmes that strengthen ADI’s developer-first approach and create measurable business and ecosystem outcomes.

The role involves working across online and in-person channels to activate the developer and partner ecosystem, improve awareness and adoption, and build lasting engagement across ADI-owned platforms and external partner communities. Travel is required regionally and occasionally internationally, with an estimated 10% travel commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of ADI-owned developer communities, from initial planning and audience definition through launch, promotion, events, nurture, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Build participation across digital spaces such as developer forums and GitHub, as well as through live events, to create a welcoming and trusted developer experience.
  • Oversee ADI’s participation in open-source ecosystems, including organisations such as the Linux Foundation and the Zephyr Project, and convert that involvement into developer value.
  • Put collaborative community programmes into action by managing playbooks, schedules, and execution plans for consistent and scalable delivery.
  • Track the return on investment from third-party communities by setting goals, monitoring activity, and improving how resources are allocated.
  • Act as the link between ADI and outside developer communities, feeding insights back to content, tools, and product teams to reduce friction and speed up adoption.
  • Manage community follow-up campaigns, discussion threads, and nurture efforts to increase engagement with the ADI Developer Portal.
  • Create reporting dashboards, monitor community health metrics, and use data to refine programmes and messaging.
  • Coordinate communications and deliverables with external communities and open-source organisations.
  • Work across marketing, product, engineering, and regional teams to deliver developer-focused programmes at scale.
  • Support on-the-ground activities such as meetups, hackathons, and speaker programmes that strengthen community belonging.
  • Use data, technical curiosity, and market understanding to shape community strategy and improve outcomes.
  • Build internal support and excitement for developer community initiatives.

Requirements

  • Based in the EU, with Ireland preferred.
  • Background in community-led work, especially in developer, partner, or similar ecosystems, with experience delivering scalable and measurable programmes.
  • Prior involvement in open-source programme participation and stewardship.
  • Proven ability to turn community presence into meaningful activity and long-term health improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Experience working with vendors, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; a technical background is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for community-related activities.
  • Applicants for roles that require access to technical data may need export licensing approval, except for US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by applicable U.S. law.
  • The employer maintains an equal opportunity hiring policy and considers applicants without discrimination based on legally protected characteristics.
  • This is an experienced-level position.
  • Work schedule: first shift/daytime hours.
