Role overview

Join a respected New Zealand-owned technology consultancy and help shape digital transformation outcomes for clients across public and private sectors. In this role, you will design and lead modern digital solutions, working across cloud and hybrid environments with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

What you will do

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and recommend practical, tailored solutions.
• Develop functional design documents and reference architectures aligned to established well-architected principles and standards.
• Drive innovation by solving challenging cloud and hybrid problems and delivering measurable value for customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions with strong coordination and technical depth.
• Support capability growth by mentoring architects and engineering team members.

Experience and skills

You should bring strong client-facing experience, along with the ability to work confidently across both business and technical conversations. The role calls for substantial hands-on background in Microsoft Azure solution design and implementation, supported by solid software architecture knowledge and an understanding of infrastructure. You will also need to demonstrate technical leadership, including the ability to promote standard ways of working and continuous improvement across teams.

Desirable background includes product and services design, awareness of cybersecurity considerations, and exposure to non-Microsoft cloud platforms or frameworks.

Eligibility

Applicants must already be living in New Zealand and hold the right visa to work there. Shortlisted candidates will also need to agree to a Ministry of Justice criminal record check and a credit check.
