Role overview

The business is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its Hockley team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage the full tender cycle, from the first enquiry through to final submission, while working with limited day-to-day supervision. The position is full-time, permanent, office-based, and runs Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Key responsibilities

You will take ownership of multiple live tenders and work closely with commercial and operational colleagues during pre-construction.

  • Handle tender enquiries from the initial review stage through to submission
  • Produce detailed cost plans, take-offs, and pricing schedules
  • Assess drawings, specifications, and other tender documents
  • Request and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Spot and develop value engineering opportunities where suitable
  • Coordinate with operational and commercial teams during pre-construction
  • Join tender meetings and support client presentations when needed
  • Develop strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and clients
  • Make sure submissions are accurate and completed on time
