Role Overview
The EVP, Managing Director for the Technology Practice is a senior leadership position with responsibility for expanding and steering the company’s technology-sector business. The role sets direction for the practice, strengthens market visibility, and drives commercial results across revenue, profitability, and client impact.
This position brings together deep experience in market research, insights, and analytics with end-to-end business ownership. The leader will oversee growth, financial performance, and senior teams spanning delivery, business development, and innovation, while also contributing to broader company strategy as part of the extended senior leadership group.
Strategy and Business Leadership
- Contribute to overall company strategy by bringing insight on technology-market trends, client priorities, and expansion opportunities.
- Establish and implement the strategy for the Technology practice in alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Convert strategy into practical execution plans covering go-to-market direction, capability investments, and service delivery models.
- Own sales performance, including pipeline building, forecasting quality, and conversion of priority opportunities.
Revenue Growth and P&L Ownership
- Manage a major portfolio with complete accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and long-range financial planning.
- Support lasting growth through a mix of new business development, account expansion, and repeat work.
- Guide pricing, staffing, and delivery decisions to protect margins while maintaining strong client outcomes.
Business Development and Client Leadership
- Work closely with business development teams to identify and win new growth opportunities.
- Lead major proposals and client pursuits with clear, compelling value propositions.
- Act as executive sponsor for key accounts and deepen long-term client relationships and share of wallet.
- Partner with internal specialists to deliver integrated, high-impact client solutions.
Leadership and Organization Development
- Direct and grow a senior team covering delivery, sales, and innovation.
- Strengthen the leadership pipeline through succession planning and talent development.
- Align teams around consistent execution, quality standards, and collaboration.
Market Presence and Industry Leadership
- Represent the firm externally as a visible leader in the technology sector.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of senior clients and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing and product partners to introduce differentiated, innovative offerings to the market.
Innovation and Capability Building
- Spot new client and market needs and turn them into scalable services and solutions.
- Promote the use of AI, analytics, and modern research approaches to increase client value.
- Work with internal teams to expand technology-enabled delivery and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in market research, insights, analytics, or a closely related advisory setting.
- Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional teams with full commercial and financial accountability.
- Strong history of delivering revenue growth, improved profitability, and operational discipline.
- Experience developing senior leaders and building high-performing teams within complex organizations.
- Established industry credibility with the ability to cultivate senior client relationships and drive business development.
- Ability to interpret market demand and shape scalable, client-centered solutions.
- Prior experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation-focused organization is strongly preferred.
