About the Company

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a global communications firm that works at the intersection of culture, media, reputation, and influence. The agency partners with major heritage brands, fast-growing technology companies, nonprofits, creative leaders, and founders who shape public conversation. Its work spans entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, with campaigns delivered through earned media, social platforms, partnerships, and influencer channels.

The company keeps its own public profile deliberately low, preferring its work and results to speak for themselves.

Role Overview

There is an immediate opening in the New York office for a highly capable Executive Assistant to support a Partner who plays a central role in internal operations and works closely with Finance, HR, and senior leadership. This position is best suited for someone who can manage a demanding desk with strong judgment, excellent organization, and an operational mindset.

The role goes beyond calendar management and functions as a key link between the Partner and the agency’s core departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary scheduler and gatekeeper for a Partner with agency-wide responsibilities, balancing internal and external meetings while protecting time for New York operations and global client priorities.
  • Support HR and culture-related initiatives, including company-wide activities and efforts that contribute to a constructive, high-performing environment.
  • Handle travel and logistics planning with flexibility and accuracy, including last-minute changes and keeping all involved parties updated.
  • Prepare research summaries, background materials, and briefing documents for new business pitches and client meetings across different industries.

Candidate Profile

  • Comfortable managing sensitive information with discretion and strong emotional intelligence.
  • Able to think in terms of systems and workflows, not just individual tasks, and manage several complex priorities at once.
  • Professional, polished, and respectful in dealings with colleagues, vendors, and high-profile talent.
  • Highly proactive, punctual, and attentive to potential issues before they become problems.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience supporting a high-volume desk, ideally in PR, a talent agency, or corporate operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft polished correspondence for senior leaders and outside stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, and the ability to learn administrative and financial tracking tools quickly.
  • Interest in news, social impact, and the entertainment world.

Compensation and Employment Terms

The annual salary for this position is $45,000. This is a non-exempt role and is eligible for overtime.

Benefits and Perks

Eligible employees may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with matching, annual merit-based bonuses, paid time off, and fertility-related support. Additional offerings include FSA options for medical, childcare, and commuter expenses, a flexible work schedule, a Work From Anywhere program, Summer Fridays, Wellness Days, and a four-week sabbatical or celebratory trip for select anniversaries.

The workplace also includes collaborative spaces, rooftop access in some offices, celebrations, networking opportunities, and community volunteering. The company also recognizes key awareness and action days throughout the year, including Juneteenth, Election Day, and International Women’s Day.

Growth and Development

From the first day, employees are paired with a mentor to support their development. The company places strong emphasis on training, continuous learning, internal promotion, and structured workshops tailored to different levels. Employees also have access to the monthly Meet the Industry series, where outside leaders share practical insights and industry perspective.

Equal Opportunity

The organization is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and ability, and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, identity or expression, national origin, disability status, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
