Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Patient Technician position in Umluj supports day-to-day patient care and helps maintain smooth clinical operations. The role centers on assisting patients with routine needs, supporting examinations and procedures, keeping patients comfortable and safe, and working closely with nursing and medical teams.

Key Duties

• Assist patients with daily care tasks and basic personal needs.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, or procedures.
• Monitor basic patient status and record observations accurately.
• Escalate any concerning changes or issues to nursing or medical staff without delay.
• Help with patient movement and transport within the facility.
• Arrange and keep track of equipment and supplies needed for patient care.
• Maintain tidy, organized, and hygienic patient areas.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and coworkers.
• Follow hospital rules, safety practices, and infection prevention standards at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Basic hands-on clinical knowledge, including patient support, vital sign checks, and safe handling techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to follow medical instructions carefully and document information with accuracy.
• Attention to detail and organizational ability for managing schedules, equipment, and supplies.
• A relevant technical or vocational background in patient care or a related healthcare discipline is required.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinic environment is an advantage.
• Respectful, compassionate, ethical, and non-discriminatory approach to patient care.
• Willingness to work on-site full time in Umluj, including shifts, weekends, and holidays when needed.
