Role Summary
This is a full-time position based on site in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Front Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring the front desk runs smoothly, creating a professional first impression for visitors, and supporting overall office administration. The role also contributes to customer service quality, internal coordination, and event-related operational support.
Key Duties
- Welcome guests and visitors in a professional, courteous manner and manage the reception area.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries, directing them appropriately and responding promptly.
- Support daily administrative work such as meeting scheduling, record maintenance, and office documentation.
- Keep track of office supplies and help ensure the front office remains well organized and functional.
- Maintain strong service standards and address client concerns or feedback efficiently.
- Facilitate smooth communication between departments and assist with internal coordination.
- Work with management to improve front office workflows and follow company procedures and protocols.
- Provide operational support for events and related logistics when needed.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in reception, front office, hospitality, media, or a corporate setting is preferred.
- Confidence in handling customer service and visitor interactions in a polished, professional way.
- Working knowledge of office administration tasks, including scheduling and record keeping.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for dealing with clients, partners, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to juggle several tasks in a busy environment.
- Comfort using standard computer tools such as email, calendars, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Experience with CRM or office management systems would be an added advantage.
- A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Communications, or a related discipline is beneficial.
