Deskripsi pekerjaan

About the Role

Apexis Civil & Construction Pty Ltd is looking for dependable and experienced FRP Workers (form, reo, pour) to join its Newcastle, New South Wales team. This is a full-time, on-site position across civil and construction projects, covering the complete concreting process from formwork installation through to reinforcement and concrete placement.

The role suits practical tradespeople and labourers who work hard, take pride in quality workmanship, value safety, and are seeking consistent work with a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, and remove formwork so it meets line, level, plans, and engineering drawings.
  • Cut, bend, place, fix, and tie reinforcement steel to the required specifications.
  • Complete concrete pours, including placing, screeding, vibrating, and finishing.
  • Review and understand plans, drawings, and set-out details.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely while keeping equipment and work areas clean and organised.
  • Adhere to Work Health & Safety procedures and help maintain a safe site.
  • Work cooperatively with the team and follow instructions from supervisors and leading hands.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should ideally have prior exposure to formwork, steel fixing, concrete works, or broader civil construction labouring. Strong knowledge of formwork systems, reo fixing, and concrete placement/finishing is valuable.

Successful candidates should be able to read construction plans and set-out information, show a strong safety mindset, and be physically capable of manual outdoor work. Reliability, punctuality, and teamwork are important.

A White Card is mandatory. Additional qualifications or tickets such as EWP, confined space, and working at heights are considered an advantage. A current driver’s licence is preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay, dependent on experience.
  • Steady ongoing employment with a reputable business that is expanding.
  • A supportive crew culture with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
  • Training opportunities, skill development, and room to progress.

Eligibility

Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be available for full-time on-site work in Newcastle, New South Wales.
