About the Role

Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, South Carolina is a 273-bed acute care hospital serving the local community and nearby areas since 1917. What You’ll Do

This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly hospital setting.

• Clean offices, patient rooms, classrooms, common spaces, lavatories, hallways, food service areas, and other spaces that need attention.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, polish floors, and vacuum hallways, stairways, and office areas.
• Use cleaning agents and housekeeping materials safely and according to required standards.
• Take on additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should ideally have a high school diploma or GED. Prior housekeeping experience is an advantage, especially in a healthcare setting. The role also calls for familiarity with housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, battery-operated equipment, mops, and carpet-cleaning tools, along with basic reading and numerical ability. Strong customer service skills are also expected.
