About the Role
This role is suited to a quantitative thinker who can work with large, complex datasets and partner closely with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders to build solutions that improve intelligence insights and operational effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
- Use statistical methods and data exploration to uncover useful patterns and insights from complicated datasets.
- Help design, test, and validate predictive models that reveal trends and behavior patterns.
- Support the creation of AI/ML models and other data-led solutions.
- Run exploratory analysis to inform decisions and operational planning.
- Assist with data pipelines that gather, transform, and integrate data.
- Work with data scientists, engineers, and other teams to streamline data workflows.
- Write scripts and small tools that reduce repetitive work and improve productivity.
- Help improve data quality, organization, and ease of access.
- Apply basic experimentation and analytical methods to compare ideas and measure results.
- Contribute to better data systems, workflows, and analytics capabilities.
- Identify missing data, inconsistencies, and areas where processes can be optimized.
- Take part in team discussions, project reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another closely related quantitative discipline is required.
Required Skills
- Programming in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages
- Data visualization using tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Statistical analysis and modeling
- Basic AI and machine learning knowledge
- Working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Exposure to cloud-based big data tools
- Presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of intelligence analysis workflows and mission needs
- Handling structured and unstructured data in complex environments
